About Susanne S. Warfield

Susanne S. Warfield, is President/CEO of Paramedical Consultants, Inc.–a consulting, publishing and association management firm. She is the leading expert on the business, legal and liability issues that affect physician and esthetician relationships working in a medical or spa setting.

Warfield is a 31-year Licensed Esthetician and is NCEA Certified. Her career started as an Esthetics Instructor at Sheridan College in Oakville, Ontario, Canada, where she taught the 2nd year of a two-year degree Esthetics Program. When she moved to the United States, her advanced training was put into use and she spent almost 14 years working with a dermatologist in New York city. She began her consulting and publishing company in 1991 and expanded to become an association management firm in 2000.

Ms. Warfield authored “Emergency Medical Care for the Salon & Spa", "Guide to Building a Medical Esthetic Practice,” “The Esthetician's Guide to Working with Physicians,” “OSHA Manual on Bloodborne Pathogens” and co-authored “Legal & Liability Issues Of A Medical Spa,” “Laser Safety for the Salon, Spa & Small Medical Clinic,”  &“Physician's Guide to In-office Dispensing.”

Chapter contributions include: “The Standard Textbook for Professional Estheticians–Revised Edition,”(Milady) “Salon Fundamentals Esthetics,”(Pivot Point) “The Practical Application of Estheticians in the Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon's Office” (W.B. PCI manages two associations and Ms. Warfield serves as the Executive Director of the National Coalition of Estheticians, Manufacturers/Distributors & Associations (www.NCEA.tv) and the Society of Dermatology SkinCare Specialists (www.SDSS.tv).

Warfield has served on the boards of the American Association of Cosmetology Schools (AACS) and the National Interstate Council of State Boards  (NIC) - Esthetic Committee as well as the American Academy of Dermatology's (AAD) Allied Health Committee.

In her spare time she serves as a Professional Rescuer, Rescue Diver and is a Dive Master and Assistant Scuba Instructor. She enjoys scuba diving, rollerblading, riding her motorcycle and entertaining friends.
